At Alrahwan Golden we run dabab furniture moving and delivery in Jeddah every day, from Obhur in the north down to Al-Khumrah in the south, and a run starts from SAR 65 inside the same district. We move fridges, washers, sofas, student rooms, boxes, showroom purchases and shop stock. If you need a worker, a carpenter to take things apart and put them back together, or packing, they come with the truck. We also drive out to Makkah, Bahra, Al-Jumum, Rabigh and Khulais. Take a few photos, send them on WhatsApp to 0562140122, and we will come back to you with a price and a time.

Most people who call us do not need a truck at all. They bought a fridge from a shop, sold a sofa on Haraj, or their son is moving into university housing. That is exactly what a dabab is for. It is a small pickup with a box on the back that gets down narrow streets, parks at the building door, and carries your things without you paying for a dyna that drives around half empty. We wrote this page from what we see on real runs in Jeddah: prices and what changes them, the types of dabab, what goes in and what does not, how we load, which districts and cities we cover, and the questions people ask us every day.

Before You Call
From SAR 65 inside a district, from SAR 75 between neighboring districts, and from SAR 95 north to south.
Every Jeddah district, plus Makkah (about 80 km), Bahra, Al-Jumum, Rabigh, Khulais and Taif.
One dabab takes one to four large pieces, up to about 25 boxes, or a student room.
We work 24 hours, and urgent jobs go to whichever truck is free and closest.
What Is a Dabab and When Is It the Right Choice?
Around here a “dabab” means a light utility truck with a small cab and a short box behind it. On the models you see most in Jeddah the box is somewhere between two and three meters long, and the payload is around a ton or a bit less, depending on the truck. The small size really helps in this city. Think of the inner lanes of Al-Balad, Al-Aziziyah and Al-Kandarah, the evening traffic in front of buildings in Al-Safa, Al-Marwah and Al-Naeem, or compound gates that will not let a big truck stop.
Size alone is not a reason to pick one, though. The real question is whether your load fits in one trip. Book a dyna for a fridge, a washer and five boxes and you pay for a big empty box. Try to move a whole apartment on a dabab and you pay for three trips and extra hours of labor. So the first thing we do with any request is look at the photos and tell the customer straight: this is a dabab job, or this needs a pickup or a dyna.
A dabab is usually enough if you have
- A fridge, washer, sofa, dining table or single wardrobe
- A student or bachelor room, or a small dismantled bedroom
- Boxes and suitcases, up to roughly 25 boxes
- Something from a showroom, Al-Sawarikh, Al-Khasikiyah or Haraj
- Stock for a small shop or an online-store order
- An urgent run that has to arrive within an hour or two
You will need something bigger if you have
- A two-bedroom apartment or more, with appliances and kitchen
- A villa or full floor with majlis, curtains and rugs
- Tall wardrobes that do not come apart, or panels longer than the box
- A load that would take three dabab trips or more
- Large glass or marble that needs space and a closed box
We tell customers something simple: if you can count your pieces on your fingers, a dabab will do. Once you start counting rooms, ask about a pickup or a dyna. And sometimes a load is exactly two dababs’ worth. In that case we send both at the same time so you are not waiting for a second trip.
Dabab Furniture Moving Prices in Jeddah
A run with us starts from SAR 65 for the truck and driver inside one district, as long as your things are ready and fit in one trip. After that the price goes up with how far the second district is, how many pieces there are, which floor, and whether you want a worker or someone to dismantle and assemble. These are the starting prices we actually work with:
| Run | Includes | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Inside one district | Truck and driver, items ready, ground floor or lift | From SAR 65 |
| Between neighboring districts | Al-Safa to Al-Marwah, Al-Naeem to Al-Mohammadiyah, Al-Samer to Al-Manar | From SAR 75 |
| North to south Jeddah | Obhur or Al-Hamdaniyah to Al-Naseem or Al-Khumrah | From SAR 95 |
| Loading worker | Depends on pieces, weight and floor | Send photos and we will price it |
| Dismantling, assembly, packing | Carpenter, wrapping materials, labeling and screw bags | Priced by number of pieces |
| Jeddah to Makkah and nearby cities | Covered dabab with the load strapped down | Contact us for a price by district and load |
Runs We Do All the Time
A fridge from a shop in Al-Safa to a flat in Al-Safa, ground floor, already wrapped by the shop: that is a run from SAR 65. A used sofa from Al-Naeem to Al-Mohammadiyah, with the owner helping the driver carry it: from SAR 75. A student room from Obhur to the university district, with a dismantled bed, a desk and a few boxes, starts from SAR 95, and a worker is added if you ask for one.
If you want a price that will not change at the door, send us four things: both districts or locations, the floor and whether there is a lift at each end, photos or a short video of the items, and whether you need workers or just the driver.
What Determines the Cost of a Dabab Run?
When you compare two quotes, make sure they are for the same job. A lot of arguments start because someone compared a truck-only price with a price that included workers and packing. In Jeddah, these are the things that actually move the number.
Distance and route. A run inside the district is not the same as Obhur to Al-Naseem, especially if it lands in the morning commute or school traffic.
Load size. How many pieces, how big and heavy they are, and whether one trip will safely do it.
Floor and lift. A fourth floor with no lift takes several times the time and effort of a ground floor, and that shows in the price.
Labor and extras. Does the driver come alone, with one or two workers, with a carpenter for the bed and wardrobe, or with a technician to take the AC down? Packing varies too: protecting corners is one thing, wrapping a TV, a mirror and a glossy table is another.
Waiting and timing. If the showroom has not got your order ready, or there is a second pickup on the way, that time counts. And the end of the month, the start of the school year and the days before Eid are busier than normal days.
Be careful with a price that looks far below everyone else. Usually it means a truck with a bare metal box, no straps and no blankets, or loading gets added on once the truck arrives. Ask for what is included in writing in the message before you book.
The Cheapest Dabab in Jeddah: How to Pay Less
The cheapest run is the one that finishes in the first trip with no surprises at the door. That is not always the lowest number you see in an ad. From what we see, these are the things that actually save people money:
- Take the wardrobe and bed apart before loading. A dismantled, labeled wardrobe takes roughly half the space of an assembled one, and often turns a two-truck job into a one-truck job.
- Seal your boxes before the driver arrives. Fifteen minutes of packing while he waits is counted as part of the run.
- If someone can help you carry, the driver alone is enough and you skip the worker.
- Combine nearby runs. Two pieces from two shops on the same street in one run cost less than two runs.
- Go early in the morning or after evening prayer, away from rush hour and the end of the month.
- Tell us the real floor from the start. Hiding a fifth floor with no lift does not lower anything. It just delays the job.
There is one case where a dabab is not the cheapest: when the load needs three trips or more. A pickup or dyna in one trip is better value then, and we will tell you so before you book.
Types of Moving Dabab in Jeddah and Which One Suits You
Not every dabab is the same, and the difference shows on your furniture. An open bed under the Jeddah midday sun heats things up and covers them in dust, and a low closed box may not take a tall fridge standing up. That is why we ask about your items before we send a truck.
Closed box dabab
Closed on all sides, so it keeps out dust, sun and the salty humidity that comes in off the sea. It is our first choice for mattresses, sofas, clothes, electronics and painted wood.
Open-bed dabab
An open bed, so loading from the side is easy and tall items like a big fridge fit. We only load it with a cover pulled tight and straps, and it suits short runs and things that are not delicate.
Lined pickup
One step bigger than a dabab. We send it when the load is more than a dabab and less than a dyna, like a full dismantled bedroom or several appliances in one go.
What to Ask Before You Accept Any Dabab
The name of the truck matters less than what is in the back of it. Ask whether the floor is clean and dry, because a box that carried sand or cement an hour ago will mark your sofa fabric. Ask whether there are ratchet straps or just loose rope. Ask whether there are moving blankets that go around wood and corners before stacking. And for an open bed, ask about a cover for the load and side rails that raise the bed height. Whoever answers those questions in detail knows the job.
Dabab vs Pickup vs Dyna
| Comparison | Dabab | Pickup | Dyna |
|---|---|---|---|
| Usual load | 1–4 large pieces or up to 25 boxes | A dismantled bedroom or several appliances | A 2–3 bedroom apartment and living room |
| Narrow streets | Excellent, stops at the door | Fine in most districts | Needs a street it can stop in |
| Price | Lowest, from SAR 65 | More than a dabab | Highest, but best value for big loads |
| Protection | Closed, or open with a cover | Depends on the box | Closed box, more room to separate items |
| Good for | A run, a piece, a shop order, a student | A full room or small studio | Moving a whole home or office |
How to Estimate Your Load Before Calling
The phrase that causes the most confusion in this work is “just a few things”. The customer means a full room and the driver hears a couple of boxes. The truck turns up, the load does not fit, and both sides lose time. This table comes from what we carry every day and gives you a fair idea:
| What you are moving | Right vehicle | Note |
|---|---|---|
| 5–25 boxes and suitcases | One dabab | Same-size boxes stack better |
| Fridge, washer and a few boxes | One dabab | Appliances stand upright, strapped to the box wall |
| 3-piece sofa set and a table | Closed dabab or pickup | Corner sofas take twice the space |
| Dismantled bedroom (bed, wardrobe, dresser) | Pickup or two dababs | An assembled wardrobe rarely fits the box |
| A full student or bachelor room | Usually one dabab | Single bed, desk, chair and bags |
| Two-bedroom apartment or more | Dyna | On a dabab it turns into many costly trips |
Easier than any description: film a 30-second video walking past your things and send it on WhatsApp. And do not forget the stuff people overlook, like the storeroom and laundry, whatever is on top of the wardrobes, curtains and frames, bikes and kids’ toys on the roof or in the yard. Those are exactly the things that blow up the load on the day.
What Does a Dabab Move? Categories in Detail
A dabab does a lot more than furniture. The same truck might move a student room in the morning, shop stock at noon, and event chairs at night. These are the things we carry most around Jeddah:

Home furniture
Beds, dismantled wardrobes, dressers, sofas, chairs, tables, desks, shelves, display cabinets.
Appliances
Fridges, washers, dryers, chest freezers, ovens, TVs, microwaves, and AC units once they are taken down.
Boxes and bags
Clothes, books, kitchen things, suitcases, student and bachelor belongings.
Soft furnishings and rugs
Mattresses, rugs, carpet, curtains, cushions, floor seating.
Shop stock
Clothing, homeware, electronics, beauty products, retail goods.
Restaurant and café gear
Display fridges, tables, chairs, coffee machines, commercial kitchen tools.
Event supplies
Chairs, folding tables, decorations, hospitality items, small tents.
Hotels and furnished apartments
Spare mattresses, tables, TVs, linens between branches and storage.
Rest houses and farms
Outdoor seating, grills, small shades, garden tools.
Light building materials
Doors, panels, paint, plumbing and electrical supplies, workshop tools.
Kids’ and sports items
Bikes, kids’ cars, home gym equipment, big toys.
Home medical equipment
Medical beds, wheelchairs, massage chairs, each one strapped and wrapped on its own.
What Should Not Go in a Dabab?
Few people ask about this before loading, even though it saves a long discussion at the door. We do not carry full gas cylinders, petrol or diesel, thinners and solvents, chemicals or fireworks, or anything the law does not allow. And we do not load beyond what the truck can safely take in weight or height, even if the owner insists.
Some things we carry, but with conditions. Large glass and mirrors get wrapped and strapped standing up. Chandeliers come apart and each piece is wrapped on its own. Planters are drained the day before and strapped away from everything else. Chilled food only works on a very short run. And appliances need preparing the day before, which we come to in a moment.
Some things belong with you in your own car, not in the back of the dabab: passports, IDs and original papers, cash and gold, the medication you take every day, your laptop and hard drives, and the key to the new place.
Moving Appliances by Dabab: What Needs Preparing?
Appliances are what gets damaged most on short runs. The reason is that a short distance tempts people to skip the preparation. But a fridge compressor or a washer drum does not care how long the road is. What affects them is how they are carried and how much they shake. Here is what we ask of the customer and what we do ourselves for each one:
| Appliance | Before the run | On the way | On arrival |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fridge and freezer | Empty it and unplug the day before, dry it, secure shelves and doors | Upright and strapped, with as little tilt as possible | Leave it standing several hours before switching on, as the manual says |
| Washer and dryer | Drain the hose and filter, lock the drum with transit bolts if you have them | Upright, never on its side | Take the transit bolts out before first use |
| TV | Remove the stand or mount, use the original box or foam front and back | Always standing, nothing on top | Mount it before switching on |
| Oven and cooker | A technician disconnects the gas, trays and glass come out | Upright with the door tied | A technician reconnects it and checks for leaks |
| Split AC | A technician pumps the gas into the compressor before the pipes come off | Both units wrapped separately, pipes coiled | Re-piping, vacuum and a cooling test |
| Computer and printer | Photograph the connections, take the paper out, secure moving parts | In a padded box, never loose | Check the cables before powering on |
The mistake we see most: the fridge reaches the kitchen and the first thing anyone does is plug it in. Leave it standing for several hours so the oil settles back in the compressor. Those few hours can save you the price of the compressor, which is the most expensive part of the fridge.
Dabab with Dismantling, Assembly and Packing
The truck does the moving, but questions remain. Who takes the wardrobe apart? Who wraps the TV? Who gets the fridge down from the fourth floor when the lift is out? That is where a random dabab number and a proper service part ways. And we do not push a full package on you. We send only what you need.
Dismantling and assembly. A carpenter comes along to take apart the bed, wardrobe, desk or IKEA furniture. He numbers the panels that look alike, puts each piece’s screws in a bag and tapes it to that piece, and puts it all back together at the new place.
Packing. It depends on the item: bubble wrap for glass and corners, stretch film for wood and drawers, blankets for big pieces, bags for mattresses, and strong boxes for small things.
Workers. One or more carry everything from inside the flat to the truck, and they are used to narrow stairs and tight turns.
Hoist. If dismantling will not work and the stairs are tight, we lift the piece out through a window or balcony, arranged in advance.
AC units. A technician pumps down the gas and disconnects the pipes, then reinstalls at the new home and tests the cooling before he leaves.
Labeling. Every box gets a note with what is inside and which room it goes to, so each piece ends up in its place instead of piling up at the door.
For more on protecting furniture and appliances, we have a full furniture packing guide.
Packing Before Loading: Which Material Goes Where?
Wrapping everything in stretch film does nothing for glass, and covering a whole wardrobe in bubble wrap is just waste. Each material has its place:
| Material | We use it on | Protects against |
|---|---|---|
| Bubble wrap | Glass, TVs, ornaments, sharp corners | Knocks and vibration |
| Stretch film | Wood, drawers, assembled pieces (over a soft layer for leather) | Dust and drawers sliding open |
| Moving blankets | Large furniture and painted surfaces | Scratches and rubbing |
| Strong boxes and corner guards | Kitchen things, books, table edges | Breakage and things scattering |
| Mattress bags | Mattresses, rugs, cushions | Dirt and salty humidity |
| Labeled screw bags | Each dismantled piece on its own | Lost small parts and failed reassembly |
How Furniture Is Arranged and Secured Inside the Dabab
There is a method to stacking, and whoever fills the gaps any old way causes scratches. Done right, it protects your things, protects the people driving behind, and makes unloading faster. This is how our crew does it on every run:

First a look at the box floor: it has to be clean and dry, with no nail sticking up and no sharp edge. Then the heaviest things go in first, the fridge, washer, appliances and solid pieces, against the front wall by the cab. Long pieces like sofas, headboards and tables stand on their side to save room, with padding around them. Rugs get rolled with the face inside and tied at both ends and the middle.
Between any two pieces that might rub, we put a blanket or a sheet of cardboard. Light boxes go on top and toward the back, and fragile things in the top layer, strapped. Nothing heavy ever goes on something light. We also watch the weight balance, because if it all ends up on one side the truck handles badly in turns. At the end we tighten the straps layer by layer, cover the load, and walk around the truck once more before we move off.
If the run has more than one drop-off, the piece that comes off first goes in last, right by the box door. That way it is not buried behind the next stop’s things, and the crew does not have to unload everything to get it out.
Steps to Book a Moving Dabab in Jeddah, from Call to Delivery
Every job with us follows the same order, small or big, and that is what keeps the result predictable:
- You send us photos or a short video on WhatsApp 0562140122, with the pickup and drop-off locations, the floor, and whether there is a lift at each end.
- We pick the vehicle: closed or open dabab, a pickup, or two dababs together. And we decide whether you need a worker, a carpenter or packing.
- You get the price and time in one message, with what is and is not included, before the truck moves.
- The driver calls you well before he arrives so you can sort out parking and the lift.
- Whatever needs taking apart gets taken apart, everything gets wrapped in the right material, then stacked and strapped.
- We take a route that avoids traffic and broken roads, at a steady speed that suits the load.
- Each piece goes to its room, we reassemble what we took apart, and we check the count and condition with you before the crew leaves.
Dabab Delivery Runs in Jeddah: From Pickup Point to Delivery Door
Not everyone who books a dabab is moving house. A big part of our day is delivery runs from one place to another: a table someone bought from a listing, an appliance coming back from the repair shop, a sofa finished at the upholsterer, stock from the warehouse to the shop, or things someone is sending to family across town. For these runs nothing beats a dabab. It gets there faster, moves through traffic easier, and costs less than tying up a truck for one piece.

We collect from showrooms on Tahlia and Palestine streets, from Al-Sawarikh, Al-Khasikiyah and Haraj, while you stay at home. We take spare parts and tools from the store to a workshop or job site. We carry travelers’ big suitcases and boxes to and from King Abdulaziz Airport. We take furniture you want to get rid of, or donate to a charity. For used sales, we collect from the seller and deliver to the buyer, as long as there are recent photos and it is agreed who takes the piece apart. And if you want to ride along to meet the seller or open up the place, we arrange that when you book.
Same-Day Urgent Runs
For an urgent job we send the closest free dabab to the pickup point. To get a quick, clear answer, put everything in one message: the photos, both locations, the floor, and the time it has to arrive by. If your things are ready and wrapped and someone can help carry, it gets arranged much faster than a job that needs dismantling and workers.
Runs with More Than One Stop
Pick up from a showroom, then an appliance from a house, then deliver it all to one address. That works as long as the final load still fits a dabab and the order of stops is clear from the start. Every extra stop takes time, so mention them all when you ask for a price.
Round Trips
Going, waiting and coming back is different from a one-way delivery. Tell us how long the wait is and when the return is. If the repair will take days, book the return as its own run.
| Run type | What to send us | What can change the price |
|---|---|---|
| Address to address | Photos, two locations, floor, workers | Items not mentioned, or stairs |
| Showroom to customer | Order number, ready time, loading gate | The showroom being late with the order |
| Several stops | Order of stops and what is picked up at each | Extra stops |
| Round trip | Return time and how long the wait is | Open-ended waiting |
Dabab Goods Transport in Jeddah for Shops and Online Stores
Anyone running a small shop or online store knows transport is a cost that comes back every week. Buying a vehicle early on makes no sense, and hiring a truck for every delivery eats the profit. A dabab matches the real amount of movement. We work for retail shops that restock from a warehouse or the main market, and for online stores with big orders that parcel companies will not take, like an office chair, a shelf or a table. We also work for home businesses taking their products to bazaars and seasonal exhibitions, and for workshops and fit-out contractors who need doors, paint, plumbing and electrical supplies on site.
Restaurant and café equipment needs its own care. Stainless surfaces scratch fast, and display fridges need the same handling as a home fridge: carried upright and left to rest before switching on. Coffee machines get drained completely, and it is best to move them when the place is closed so business is not interrupted.
If you run a store, send us this with each order
The order number, the recipient’s name and number, the location, what the item is and how many parcels, when the order is ready, whether it is paid, whether it is a door delivery or needs carrying up, and whether there is any assembly.
If your runs are regular, a weekly restock or daily deliveries, it is better to agree a monthly arrangement than to call each time. You get a truck held for set times, a driver who knows your route and your customers, and a fixed price you can plan around.
Bridal Trousseau, Student Housing and Staged Moves
A bride’s trousseau is one of the runs we handle with extra care, because everything is brand new and any scratch shows and hurts. We wrap every piece, send a clean closed dabab, keep breakable sets away from linens, and write the room on each box. The date is usually fixed and cannot slip, so book early.
Student and bachelor housing is the job a dabab suits best: a single bed, a desk, a chair and a few boxes. Demand jumps at the start and end of each term, especially around King Abdulaziz University and the University of Jeddah, so book two days ahead.
Some people move in stages: furniture first, then appliances, then everything else over a week. That is fine, just be clear what goes in each stage so what moves now does not get mixed up with what stays. A dabab is flexible for this, and you do not need to book a full day each time.
A Practical Guide to Moving Each Type of Furniture by Dabab
Bedrooms and Dismantled Beds
Once it is apart, a bed becomes sides, a headboard, a base and slats, and a wardrobe becomes panels, doors, drawers and shelves. Take a photo before it comes apart, number the panels that look alike, and put each piece’s screws in a bag with its name on it. Mirrored doors need rigid protection and have to be kept well away from the wood.
Sofas, Majlis and Soft Furnishings
A clean soft layer goes on the fabric or leather, a blanket over that, and we tie it down without pulling hard enough to leave marks. Cushions go in their own bags, and legs come off where possible to bring the height down. If it is a corner sofa, tell us how many sections there are and the size of each before you book.
Tables, Marble and Glossy Surfaces
The legs come off and the edges get corner guards. Marble is heavy and breaks easily at the same time, so it travels standing on a support board and never lies flat under any weight. And tape never goes straight onto paint, because it can lift the finish.
Books, Files and Heavy Boxes
Do not fill a big box with books until the bottom gives way. Use small boxes, tape the base in an X, and write “Books – Heavy” on them. Important files go in numbered boxes, with nothing sensitive written on the outside.
The Kitchen
The kitchen is what holds people up on every move, so start it two days early. Plates get wrapped and stood on edge side by side, each glass gets its own paper, and towels fill the gaps. Knives are wrapped with a warning written on them, and oils and liquids go in separate bags away from any fabric.
High Floors and Narrow Lifts
Plenty of buildings in Jeddah have small lifts that will not take a wardrobe or a fridge, and some have no lift at all. That is not a problem if we know about it from the start. It becomes one when we find out with the workers standing at the door. Most pieces that “will not fit the lift” fit once they are taken apart. On mid-height floors, an extra worker is faster and cheaper than any equipment. And when dismantling is not possible and the stairs are tight, we lift the piece out from the balcony with a hoist, arranged in advance.
If you can, measure the lift door’s width and height, even roughly, and send the numbers with the floor. From that alone we know whether to send a carpenter, an extra worker, or a hoist.
Moving Dabab for All Jeddah Districts
Jeddah runs a long way along the sea, and north and south are not just far apart. The streets are different, the buildings are different, even the parking is different. So our trucks are spread across the city rather than every run starting from one spot.

North Jeddah
Obhur Al-Shamaliyah, Obhur Al-Janubiyah, Al-Hamdaniyah, Al-Salhiyah, Al-Rayyan, Al-Furusiyah, Al-Shira’a, Al-Lulu, Al-Yaqoot, Al-Zumurrud, Al-Fanar, Al-Amwaj, Al-Sawari, Dhahban, Al-Murjan, Al-Basateen, Al-Mohammadiyah, Al-Naeem, Al-Shati, Al-Zahra, Al-Nahdah.
Central Jeddah
Al-Rawdah, Al-Salamah, Al-Khalidiyah, Al-Andalus, Al-Hamra, Al-Rehab, Al-Marwah, Al-Safa, Al-Faisaliyah, Mushrifah, Al-Bawadi, Al-Nuzhah, Al-Rabwah, Al-Aziziyah, Al-Ruwais, Al-Sharafiyah, Al-Jamiah.
East Jeddah
Al-Samer, Al-Manar, Al-Ajwad, Al-Ajaweed, Briman, Al-Tawfiq, Al-Waha, Al-Harazat, Quwaizah, Um Al-Salam, Al-Rahmaniyah, Al-Taiseer, Al-Sulaymaniyah, Al-Jawharah.
South Jeddah and Al-Balad
Al-Balad, Al-Kandarah, Al-Ammariyah, Al-Hindawiyah, Ghulail, Al-Thaghr, Al-Nuzlah Al-Yamaniyah, Al-Nuzlah Al-Sharqiyah, Al-Fayhaa, Al-Rawabi, Al-Naseem, Al-Sanabel, Al-Amir Fawaz, Al-Khumrah, Kilo 14, Al-Qurayyat, Al-Waziriyah.
Those are the best-known districts, not the whole list. We cover all of Jeddah, old plans and new ones. Send your location and we will tell you which truck is closest. In the south and Al-Balad the dabab’s advantage is obvious, because the inner streets there are too narrow for a dyna to get close, while a dabab stops right at the door. The north has a lot of gated compounds with guards, so check with the guard beforehand about when moving vehicles are allowed in.
Dabab Moving and Delivery from Jeddah to Makkah and Nearby Cities
We take the dabab out of Jeddah to nearby cities when the load is small or medium. But a long road is not a run across the district. Wind, dust, heat and shaking go on for longer, so we put more into the wrapping, the strapping and the cover.

| Destination | Rough distance | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Makkah | About 80 km on the Jeddah–Makkah highway | Partial moves, appliances, student things, goods |
| Bahra | About 40 km on the Makkah road | Single pieces and appliances |
| Al-Jumum | About 90 km | Rest-house and farm items |
| Rabigh and Khulais | Rabigh about 150 km north, Khulais about 100 km | Partial family moves and supply runs |
| Taif | About 170 km with a mountain climb | Well-strapped loads that do not break easily |

The price outside Jeddah depends on the district in both cities and how big the load is, so call us on 0562140122 and we will work it out. If the load is large, we will tell you honestly that a pickup or dyna in one trip is better value than two dababs between cities, and we arrange that on the same number.
Before we head to any city, we need the recipient’s number, the exact drop-off spot and a good time to arrive. A load that reaches another city with nobody there to take it is a much bigger problem than a short delay between two districts.
The Best Time to Move in Jeddah
Jeddah is hot and humid most of the year, and its traffic keeps a regular rhythm. The best time for a run is early morning before work, or after evening prayer in the hot months, when it is cooler and the roads are lighter. Avoid the work and school commutes in both directions, the end of the month when leases run out, and the days before Eid. Some seasons push demand right up: the start of the school year, the summer holidays, and Umrah and Hajj seasons on the Makkah road. Book early then.
The weather affects your things too. Direct sun is hard on painted furniture and plastic, so at midday we prefer the closed box. Salty humidity gets into fabric and mattresses carried uncovered, and you get smells and stains later. Dust sticks to glossy surfaces and glass if the wrapping is loose. And Jeddah rain is rare but sudden, and a few minutes of it is enough to ruin a mattress or a box of books in an open bed with no cover.
Road Safety
A badly tied load does not just hurt your things. It puts the car behind you at risk. So there are things we do not bend on, even when the run is short and the customer is in a hurry. We do not load beyond what the truck can take, because it is against the rules and it weakens the brakes. Anything that sticks out past the box or blocks the view goes in another vehicle. The straps are tightened before we move off, not at the first traffic light. And the driver keeps a steady speed, leaves extra room, and watches for speed bumps and potholes in the inner streets.
Common Mistakes When Booking a Moving Dabab
We see these almost every week, and every one of them can be fixed with a minute’s thought before you call.
The first is a vague description. “A few small things” tells us nothing, so name the pieces or send a video. Close behind is adding things once the truck is there, which can mean it no longer fits and changes the time and the whole agreement.
Then there are appliances that were not prepared. A full fridge or a washer with water in it means waiting time on you and a risk to the appliance. Same with things that are not packed, because loose small items take twice as long as boxes that are ready.
Some people skip the packing to save a little and gamble with an expensive piece. Some do not keep a parking spot near the entrance, so the workers carry every piece further. Some compare a truck-only price with a price that includes workers and packing as if they were the same. And finally, hiding what is in the boxes. We need to know what is inside to know how to tie it down safely.
How to Choose the Best Moving Dabab in Jeddah
You will find “dabab furniture moving” offered by a lot of people, and they are not alike. One phone call with these questions tells you who you are dealing with. Pay attention to who answers with detail and who answers with general talk. Is the dabab closed or open, and does it have straps and blankets? Does the price cover loading and unloading, or just the truck? Do you have a carpenter for dismantling and a technician for AC units? Is packing included or separate? When exactly will you arrive? “Within the hour” is a stretchy answer. Do you handle high floors with no lift, and when do you need a hoist? Can you send two dababs together if one is not enough? And what happens if something on a piece turns up at delivery?

Get These Ready Before the Dabab Arrives
- The pieces you photographed are exactly what is moving, nothing extra.
- Boxes are sealed with the contents and room written on them.
- The fridge and freezer were unplugged the day before and are clean and dry.
- The washer is drained from the hose and filter.
- Papers, gold and medication are in a bag with you.
- The hallway and stairs are clear.
- There is parking near the entrance, and the lift or entry permit is booked.
- You took photos of the valuable pieces and TVs before loading.
- Screws and small parts are in labeled bags.
- The new place is ready: power on, door open, someone there to receive.
One small thing that saves a lot: color-code your boxes by room. One color for the kitchen, one for the bedroom, one for the living room. When unloading, the worker knows where each box goes without asking you every time.
After Delivery: The Check and the First 24 Hours
Check your things before the crew leaves. Count the boxes and pieces, look at the corners, the glass and the TVs, and make sure you have the screws, keys and remotes. If assembly was ours, open the drawers and doors and try them rather than going by looks. Mention anything right then, with a photo. That is much easier than any discussion later.

Do not switch the fridge on straight away, and do not run the washer before taking the transit bolts out if it has them. Start with the bedroom, because a bed that is put together first means a good night’s sleep however messy the other rooms are. Then the kitchen and bathroom, since you use them every day, and once they are set up the house starts to feel normal fast. Leave the frames and decoration for last.
Should I Use My Own Car Instead of a Dabab?
Sometimes yes, and we will say so. A few boxes to a flat in the same district do not need a dabab. But the math changes in three cases. The first is one large piece like a fridge or wardrobe, because forcing it into a normal car usually ends with a scratch on the car and on the piece. The second is anything over three trips, because fuel, time and fatigue cost more than a run that starts from SAR 65. The third is a high floor, because the real effort is carrying up and down, not the drive.
And think about something nobody notices until it happens: a torn seat or a scratched trunk edge usually costs more to fix than the run you were trying to save.
A showroom piece? A student room? Shop stock?
Send the photos, both locations and the floor, and you will have a price and time before the truck moves.

Frequently Asked Questions About Dabab Moving in Jeddah
How much does a moving dabab cost in Jeddah?
From SAR 65 inside a district, SAR 75 between neighboring districts, and SAR 95 north to south, for the truck and driver.
What is the dabab phone number in Jeddah?
0562140122, call or WhatsApp, around the clock.
What is the cheapest moving dabab in Jeddah?
The cheapest run is the one that is done in the first trip, from SAR 65. Taking furniture apart and sealing your boxes before we arrive keeps it that way.
Is there a 24-hour moving dabab in Jeddah?
Yes, all week including holidays, and urgent jobs go to the closest free truck.
How much is a dabab from Jeddah to Makkah?
It is about 80 km, and the price depends on the district in both cities and the load. Call 0562140122 and we will work it out.
What is the difference between a dabab and a dyna?
A dabab takes one to four large pieces or up to 25 boxes, a dyna takes a two-bedroom apartment or more. If you are counting pieces, a dabab is enough. If you are counting rooms, book a dyna.
Can a dabab move a full bedroom?
A student or bachelor room, usually yes. A full dismantled master bedroom needs a pickup or two dababs together.
Can a dabab move a fridge or washer?
Yes, standing and strapped. Unplug the fridge the day before and drain the washer, and leave the fridge standing a few hours after arrival before switching it on.
Is the dabab closed or open?
We have both. Closed for furniture, mattresses and electronics, open with a cover for tall items and short runs.
Does the service include dismantling and assembly?
Yes, if you ask for it when booking. We send a carpenter for beds, wardrobes and IKEA furniture and a technician for AC units. It is not part of the truck price by default.
My flat is on a high floor with no lift. What do I do?
Tell us the floor and the stair width ahead of time. The answer is either taking pieces apart, an extra stair worker, or a hoist from the balcony.
How many people come with the dabab?
The driver alone if you have help, or one or more workers depending on the pieces and the floor. Decide when booking, since it changes the price.
Do you cover all Jeddah districts?
Yes, from Obhur and Al-Hamdaniyah in the north to Al-Khumrah and Al-Naseem in the south, and from Al-Samer and Al-Harazat in the east to Al-Balad and the center.
Can you collect furniture from a showroom and bring it home?
Yes. We check the order is ready, take its number and the loading-gate hours, and you do not need to be there.
Can I book more than one dabab at the same time?
Yes. If the load needs two dababs we send them together, so it is done in one go instead of two trips back to back.
Can you move my shop’s stock regularly?
Yes, on a monthly arrangement with set times, a driver who knows your route, and a price that does not change.
Can I ride along with my things?
We can arrange that when you book, agreeing on where to meet and where to go.
Do you supply packing or should I pack myself?
We supply all of it: bubble wrap, blankets, stretch film and boxes. Or pack the boxes yourself and leave the glass and TVs to us.
What if I notice something on a piece at delivery?
Say so before the crew leaves, with a photo. That is why we suggest photographing valuable pieces before loading.
How long does a run inside Jeddah take?
A ready piece inside the district is quick, while a room from north to south with dismantling and assembly takes hours. We give you a realistic time when you book.
