When is a wooden crate needed?

Standard packing is enough for most furniture, but marble tops, large mirrors, chandeliers, antiques and valuable equipment need a crate built to size, because pressure in the truck or vibration on the road can break them even when well wrapped. We identify these pieces during the survey and price their crates in advance.

Air conditioners and kitchens

A split AC is removed after the gas is pumped down into the outdoor unit, and the pipes are sealed against moisture; it is reinstalled at destination and recharged if needed. Kitchens are photographed before dismantling, cabinets are numbered right to left, and the new kitchen space is measured first, because custom kitchens may not fit without adjustment.

Cartons, gifts and dates

Clothes cartons, gifts and Riyadh and Qassim dates travel in the shared load; a standard carton starts from SAR 45. Write the receiver’s name and Syrian number on every carton, keep liquids apart from clothes, and do not overfill cartons so they do not burst when stacked. Commercial quantities of dates need an invoice and a certificate of origin.

Electrical appliances

Syrian mains voltage is 220 V like the Kingdom, so household appliances work without adapters. TVs travel in double cartons, removable batteries are taken out, and new appliances in their boxes are listed separately because they are treated as goods.

What happens when your shipment reaches Syria?
